Work on the basic structure of the park is now almost complete, although new ideas are always under consideration. Minor improvements, plus maintenance costs, including insurance, repairs and grasscutting etc. are likely to amount to around £4-5,000 a year. Fundraising efforts are now directed towards raising that sum to keep the park ticking over in good condition.

A number of fundraising efforts take place each year. Regular events include:

• A village bonfire
• Charity event at St Crux in York
• Safari supper
• Potato competition
• Photo competition

Other events vary from year to year. The committee is always looking for new fundraising ideas, so if you have any, please share them!
